I am Black Woman

I am black woman.

I am.
I have cultivated his lack of self, allowing him to introspect; while I intently, intentionally listen..until.
until his strength is such to walk on his Own.
I have loved him greatly, Deeply.
Loved him deeply; all my soul, heart, tears, scraped knees, calloused hands, bruised heart.
We shared. I gave more of myself, so he could be strong Alone.
I’ve been there; all his lowest moments, reassuring him of his will, his strength-walking with him until he could Stand, Stretch, and Succeed.
I’ve smoothed out the rigidness that happenings of life had created, that disappointments have taught him.
I’ve been your comfort zone.
I’ve been what you longed for on nights no one knew you had tears to shed.
I’ve been there for you.
Ive rubbed his shoulders along with his ego-
he then felt strong enough to do it without me
